If the spiritual teachings that we learn are not distributed or shared with others, it may lead to spiritual/ mental congestion. There are only two ways of releasing this congestion: by blessing the whole earth and by doing service.
Service or “seva” connects us to our higher soul. When we serve humanity, when we serve nature, we serve the Supreme Being.
Breathing is a form of service too! When we “inhale”, we look after ourselves, our bodies. When we “exhale”, we look after the nature or universe. When our emotions and thoughts become like our breath, i.e., we constantly focus on “seva” all the time and take care of the virtues, we will be able to receive more spiritual teachings and grow spiritually. During the process of exhalation, the three qualities are practised. During the process of inhalation, “prakriti” & “purush” are happening (“Prakriti” are the aspects of light, love and power practised at the lower chakras, while “purush” are the aspects of light, love and power at the higher chakras- from crown to throat). Similarly, during meditation, energy descending has cleansing nature and is “purush” in nature. The energy ascending is binding/ bonding in nature and is “prakriti” in nature. Our daily lives activate the energies of the lower charkas only. They do not allow subtler activation of energies at the higher charkas. By doing service, we activate our lower chakras so that they can take more energy from the higher chakras. When we share Master’s teachings, when we make the physical effort to spread his teachings, we make “prakritik” effort (through thinking, talking etc.) that leads to more energies coming down.
In other scenario, when we don’t do service, these energies may get stuck at heart chakra and lead to spiritual congestion. Therefore, it is important for us all to do service, to share all that we are learning with people around us, as we go up the spiritual path.
It is by helping others around us grow, would be able to grow ourselves. Inspite of pressures of daily life, we must look for new and innovative ways to serve Master. We can find more time-efficient ways to serve. The key is in constant thought and intent towards “Service”.
